Testing

SunGard considers recovery testing to be an essential element of any recovery service and our experience and expertise allows us to identify - and rectify - any potential problems before they arise. SunGard's experienced staff work with you to determine test objectives, prepare for the test, provide operational support and participate in post-test reviews to make sure the recovery plan works.
Most testing is done from one of our strategically situated recovery centres, but should the need arise, SunGard's technology recovery services can usually provide the equipment and expertise to perform testing at your site.
Recovery - our site or yours
Depending on the nature of the invocation, recovery can take place in one of SunGard's recovery centres, or at a site nominated by you.
Ours - fixed restart
On invocation, SunGard will prepare the required hardware and configure your network requirements before you get there - so that the recovery starts when you call, not when you arrive.
As soon as we receive your backups, they will be loaded and configured on SunGard equipment - optionally with our assistance - ready either to run your business applications from our recovery centre, or to recover your servers across our network at a site of your choice.
Yours - mobile recovery services
You may only require one or two servers or a small number of PCs. On the other hand you may need a fully-configured workplace and computer room environment complete with systems, workstations, desk space, power and communications.
SunGard can keep your business running by delivering single servers, multiple PCs or one or more fully-equipped mobile recovery services to your site - a complete office environment.
Strategically located, SunGard's mobile recovery services can be delivered, set up and operational wherever they are required in the UK in eight-24 hours.
Where limited damage has occurred
Maybe because property and equipment has been damaged, SunGard's QuickShip package provides all the technology necessary to support a recovery at your site, including PCs, servers, telephony and LAN recovery services.
To allow efficient deployment, PC units and servers are stored and delivered in purpose-built, wheeled flight cases that will fit through a standard door and into most lifts. Equipment is stored in secure vehicles ready for immediate dispatch.

Our mobile recovery services can provide fully-equipped office and computer equipment room (CER) environments built from modules to provide accommodation to suit the size and specific requirements of your business.
