Vice President, Operations, Recovery Services, SunGard Availability Services
With 27 years of IT experience, Stephen is an expert in working with systems and facilities in high availability environments. Leading the strategic development and growth plan for SunGard Availability Services’ recovery services, he is responsible for overall data center and work group operations. In his role, Stephen works to deliver cost-effective operations and infrastructure solutions, driving efficiencies across SunGard’s data center platforms. He is also drives SunGard’s green IT initiatives to enable better utilization of space, power and cooling resources.
Stephen joined SunGard in 2008 from the Global Hosting division of GM IS&S. There, he was charged with establishing standardized work processes around the globe and driving common platforms across all GM process areas. Previously, he was responsible for the strategic planning, management and budgeting for the infrastructure support of the OnStar Division at GM. Stephen has also held IT management positions at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and FedEx Services.
Stephen graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He has received the “Data Center Manager of the Year” award from AFCOM International, as well as the Galen Goush Award from Roadway Express Inc.
