As the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of SunGard Availability Services, Stephen oversees the organization’s IT infrastructure and procurement functions. He joins SunGard from the Global Hosting division of GM IS&S in Detroit, Michigan. There, he was charged with establishing standardized work processes around the globe, driving common platforms across all GM process areas, and managing costs to drive efficiencies across all centers.
Before his last assignment, Stephen was responsible for strategic planning, management and budgeting for the infrastructure support of the OnStar Division at GM. In 2003, Stephen served as Director of Global IT infrastructure at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, OH and in 2001 he was Director of Distributed Systems at FedEx Services in Memphis, TN.
Stephen has a bachelor degree in Business Administration from Kent State University, Ohio. He received the “Data Center Manager of the Year” award from AFCOM International and the Galen Goush Award from Roadway Express Inc.
