Broad utility and flexibility. With Managed Email Archiving Services, you can:

• Set Email Retention/Deletion Policies by user or group, execute complex searches for legal discovery, and manage archive access, search, and lost message recovery.
• Specify Quick Restore rules for individual messages or groups of messages. This feature helps protect against data corruption with message-by-message synchronization and recovery.
• Generate an archive based on any search term(s) for restoration back to your primary environment.
• Conduct Rapid Search with sub-second retrieval time, using full text index of message headers, body, and 370 types of attachments to provide quick retrieval of email based on a wide variety of search terms.
• Manage policies and auditing processes. You control which users are included in the archive, individual retention period, individual access to the archive, and permission for restoring individual messages to mailboxes. Provides a complete audit trail of all activities, including permission and policy changes.
• Benefit from enterprise-class security by using strong-key encryption, secure transport, a customer-specific key for storage, and full integration with Windows authentication to ensure that passwords remain secure.

This service can be used in conjunction with SunGard’s E-mail Availability Service and E-mail Protection Service, for a centralized source of policy management and administration as well as a single location for off-site content storage.
