SunGard’s Secure2Disk portfolio is designed to address business success by improving business recovery time capabilities for small businesses needing simple and economical solutions as well as medium to larger environments requiring seamless integration and the ability to scale.
The Secure2Disk portfolio provides valuable options for organizations with a single data center or a limitation of having a second recovery site within the same geography of their primary data center.
In expanding our portfolio we looked for three things in common:
- Higher levels of availability than tape provides by using online disk and redundancy in the solutions (e.g., RAID technology for online storage. offsite capability, mirrored copy of backup, etc).
- Reduced risk by offering access to fully managed testing and recovery services and, again, redundancy to better protect backup copies.
- Improved operational efficiency through automation, faster restores, ability to complete backups in a shorter period of time and ability to recover data faster.
