Reseller Program

Partner Profile

  • VAR or other service provider with a service or product offering that can be leveraged with SunGard’s availability services (such as disaster recovery, managed services, consulting services or Paragon software, the industry leading business continuity tool).
  • Companies offering any type of critical application whereby adding availability services strengthens the value proposition.
  • Consulting companies seeking to augment their portfolio with SunGard services (i.e. add business continuity practice) and/or add technology solutions to the consulting services sale (i.e. vaulting, disaster recovery, advanced recovery, managed services, etc.).

How the Program Works

  • Partner enters into a Master Reseller Agreement with SunGard.
  • Partner incorporates SunGard terms and conditions and service descriptions into their end-user contract.
  • On boarding process - SunGard assigns a program manager to coordinate:
    • Contract execution
    • Marketing plan development
    • Training presentations
    • Joint collateral development
    • Launch plan
    • Sales support
  • Partner receives access to the partner portal for lead registration, collateral, whitepapers, sales aids, and training presentations.
  • Partner receives Sales Engagement Support
    • Joint selling model - All opportunities will be registered with the program manager and a SunGard account executive (AE) will be assigned to work jointly with the partner sales team for sales execution.  The SunGard AE will provide sales support during the sales cycle.
    • Direct sales model – Partner will sell services directly to their end-user customer and can utilize SunGard’s channel sales team for support if necessary
  • Pricing/Margin – SunGard provides its minimum selling price and partner adds up to a 20-25% uplift.  All contracting and billing is done by the partner.
